Camp Information

  • On-Ice

    • Focus on rudimentary skills: skating, puck-handling, shooting, and passing taught through fun, engaging drills and games.

    • Positive, encouraging instruction that helps each girl feel like she can one day become a professional women’s hockey player.

    Off-Ice Programming

    • Sessions with Strong Girls United featuring multi-sport activities to build overall athleticism and strong sense of empowerment.

    • Time with older mentors to develop confidence and mental skills.

  • A focused, high-energy three-day camp coached by eight or more professional women’s hockey players. Designed for players who want to improve on-ice skills through intentional drills and competitive small-area games, mental toughness, and confidence.

    On-Ice Program

    • Elite coaching: Eight pro women’s hockey players lead small groups to ensure personalized feedback.

    • Intentional drills: Progressions designed to isolate skill components and transfer them into game-like situations.

    • Small-area games: High-intensity mini-games to adjunct the focused skill of the day and competitive instincts..

    Off-Ice Program (Strong Girls United).

    • Mental skills & confidence: Classroom and Gym sessions use a workbook curriculum and multi-sport principles to build focus, resilience, leadership, and team communication.

    • Integrated learning: Coaches and Strong Girls United staff coordinate to reinforce how off-ice work transfers directly to on-ice performance.

The Healthy Futures Game Changers Fund is a need based fund that provides financial assistance to Alaskan families facing economic hardship so their children can join sports programs and summer camps they might otherwise miss. By covering registration fees, equipment costs, and related expenses, the fund removes financial barriers and ensures more young people gain access to physical activity, skill-building, and confidence-building opportunities that support long-term health and personal development.
